Shanti Coleman and Mary Bakowski founded Atomic Orange Productions in 2004. Prior to AOP they worked together at Mattel's Fisher-Price, developing interactive learning toys.

Shanti and Mary decided to form AOP because they saw a need for a service provider that developed interactive products and software specifically for the toy industry. Together with a group of industry professionals including programmers, artists, writers and subject matter experts, AOP develops products from concept to final release, while maintaining their client's vision, schedule and budget.

Today AOP has helped develop projects for most of the world's major toy companies, including Mattel, Fisher-Price, MGA Entertainment, Little Tikes, Hasbro, Tiger Electronics, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Play Along and Scholastic. Some of the products they develop include:
